Leading parent partner ship award

Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA)
At The Meadows Academy, we are deeply committed to building strong, meaningful partnerships between home and school. We know that when families and educators work together, it makes a powerful difference to the lives of our children and young people. As a school, we are privileged to work with an incredible community of families, and we are excited to continue developing this collaboration even further.
With the support of our dedicated team—including our Attendance and Outreach Lead, SENDCo and leadership team —we offer a range of opportunities for families to engage with school life. These include parent and carer workshops, forums, and on-site events designed to equip families with the tools to support their children’s education and personal development.
We actively seek and value parents’ views and welcome feedback on how we can continue to strengthen our relationship with families.

What is the Leading Parent Partnership Award?
The Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) provides schools with a clear framework for delivering effective parental engagement.
Over the coming year, we will be working towards achieving this award. As part of the process, The Meadows Academy will be assessed on how we:
Support parents as their children transition through the school
  • Include all groups of parents in supporting their children’s learning and personal development
  • Ensure that the school is a welcoming, communicative, and friendly place to visit
  • Provide clear and accessible guidance to help parents support their children’s learning
  • Produce parent-friendly policies to establish strong home-school links
  • Share clear guidance on the roles and responsibilities of parents, school, and pupils—especially during the induction process

Our draft parental engagement policy is currently under consultation, and we look forward to discussing it with you at upcoming open events. You can read the draft policy <HERE> (note: draft only).
