Following the recent hot weather, there has been an increase in drowning incidents across the UK, affecting both children and adults. As more people spend time near water, it is vital that we equip young people with simple, lifesaving skills.
During the week, we will focus on key messages such as recognising risks, staying calm in the water, floating to live, and knowing how to get help safely. We have some visitors joining us in school to teach these vital water safety lessons.
