Welcome To Norman Cornish WOW Wednesday
There has been some amazing work taking place in the Academy this week; here are a few of the highlights!
Year 7 have been getting used to the academy gym equipment. Working out is part of many children's sensory diet and everyone enjoys it.
James, Roman, Tyler, Brooklyn and jack have been making towers in creativity. The point of the task was to work with a partner which can be especially hard. The whole group negotiated well with their partner to create some great towers.
Excellent knife skills in year 7
Year 7 classes need to complete a series of tasks to ensure they can use knives and sharps in food. All year 7s completed the tasks well and made apple crumble.
Year 9 made some composite materials in science to test their strength. They threw their composites at the wall and found the strongest to be made from wWeetabix and tissue. It was a really interesting experiment.
