KS4 Students Take Part in Young Responders First Aid Programme

The programme will take place on Thursday 11th June at The Meadows Academy and will be delivered by fully trained St John Ambulance instructors in a safe, supportive and engaging environment.
Through a series of interactive and practical sessions, students will learn how to:
  • Recognise and respond to a range of medical emergencies, including incidents linked to spiking and knife injuries
  • Provide immediate first aid until professional help arrives
  • Develop important personal skills such as resilience, teamwork and effective communication
The Young Responders programme is designed to give young people the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to respond positively in emergency situations and play an active role in keeping themselves and others safe. It also helps build awareness of real-life scenarios that young people may encounter and how to respond appropriately.
We are proud to be able to offer this valuable opportunity to our students, supporting them to become confident, responsible and caring members of their community — aligned with our vision of Belonging, Becoming, Beyond.
