Students Celebrate Success in Lego Therapy Programme
The initiative, which ran over the past term, brought students together in small, structured groups to take part in regular sessions designed to build key communication and interaction skills. Through carefully guided activities, pupils learned how to take turns, recognise and understand their own feelings, and engage in reciprocal conversation. They also developed an awareness of basic social cues—skills that are essential both in school and beyond.
Lego Therapy uses collaborative building tasks as a powerful tool for learning. Each session was designed to be engaging and enjoyable, while also offering a rich opportunity for personal growth. Pupils worked together to complete models, with specific roles assigned to encourage cooperation, listening, and problem-solving. Although the sessions were filled with fun, they were also structured to ensure that meaningful learning took place throughout.
Staff leading the programme highlighted the positive impact it has had on participants. Over the 14 weeks, pupils demonstrated increased confidence, improved communication, and a greater ability to work effectively with their peers. The supportive environment allowed students to practise new skills at their own pace, helping them make steady and lasting progress.
To celebrate their achievements, all eight pupils successfully graduated from the scheme. Each participant was awarded a certificate in recognition of their commitment and development, alongside a special Lego reward to take home—a well-earned reminder of their accomplishments.
The programme has been described as a great success, not only for the progress made by the pupils involved but also for the enthusiasm and engagement seen throughout the sessions. It highlights the school’s continued commitment to supporting students’ social and emotional development in creative and meaningful ways.
Congratulations to all of the pupils who took part—an excellent achievement and a fantastic example of learning through teamwork and play.
