Pupils Represent Our School at the Stadium of Light
On Friday 24th April, three of our pupils were given a fantastic opportunity to take part in a memorable after‑school experience at the Stadium of Light.
Our Behaviour Manager, John, took Alfie, Amy and Eli, supported by their parents, to Sunderland’s home ground for the match between Sunderland and Nottingham Forest. Before kick‑off, the pupils were invited onto the pitch where they proudly carried and waved large school flags in front of the crowd – a moment they clearly enjoyed and handled with great confidence.
After their pitch‑side experience, the pupils stayed to watch the match. While the result was a disappointing 5–0 win for Nottingham Forest, this did not take away from what was a hugely positive and exciting evening for everyone involved.
The pupils conducted themselves calmly, maturely and respectfully throughout the event, and they were excellent ambassadors for our school. Staff and parents alike were extremely proud of how well they represented our values in such a high‑profile setting.
A big well done to Alfie, Amy and Eli, and sincere thanks to AK Teaching for providing this wonderful opportunity for our young people.
