Pancake Day at The Meadows!

This week, our pupils have been busy creating pancakes — and not just the simple kind! We’ve seen some absolutely jaw‑dropping, imaginative and delicious creations appearing in classrooms across the school.
To learn more about Pancake Day and explore it with your child at home, you can use the link to find out more about the tradition and why we celebrate it. Did you know that many countries don’t have Pancake Day at all? In fact, in the United States most people have never even heard of it! That makes our celebration extra special.
If your child is feeling inspired and you’d like to make pancakes together at home, here’s a fantastic recipe to try.
It’s simple, fun and guaranteed to bring plenty of smiles.
A Meadows Milestone
Making pancakes is part of our Meadows Milestones—a set of social development opportunities that help pupils grow in:
  • Social participation
  • Confidence
  • Challenge
  • Community
  • Cultural capital
This week, lots of pupils proudly ticked off the Pancake Milestone. We are so impressed with their teamwork, resilience and creativity.
Well done to all our amazing Meadows cooks!
