Thanks to our partnership with Durham Works, we were delighted to host an Army Careers Morning for all our KS4 students and a group of Year 9 pupils interested in exploring a future in the armed forces.
The session began with a series of exciting team challenges, where students demonstrated outstanding communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. One highlight involved working out coordinates to safely evacuate a ‘casualty’—a task that tested both their resilience and strategic thinking.
Following the activities, students took part in an engaging careers talk delivered by the Army team. They asked thoughtful questions and showed real curiosity about the opportunities available.
Our students were an absolute credit to the academy—showing maturity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn throughout the event.
