On Friday 27th June we participated in a 1 mile run to raise money and awareness for children in the North East who are suffering with cancer. This worthwhile cause aims to make life better for children with cancer with the aim of investing in revolutionary research to find cures and kinder treatments for children and to offer the support they need.
Alongside the run, the school also ran a cake sale through the help of the cookery department and staff. We had a target of raising £250 but through the hard work and effort from staff and students, and the kind donations by parents and carers, we managed to raise over £900 for the charity.
We would like to thank everyone who donated and helped to raise awareness for this brilliant cause. And a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Mr Stephens for organising this event.
